		Congratulations Chance! New Champion Nordic's Take A Chance On Me HH has become Hobby Horse Champion number 52! (and Nordic Champion 1020. Bred and owned by Gail Mathews, Brigid Brandt, S. Brandt and Jeff Skinner. This gorgeous boy is sired by CH. Donnereign's Classic Edition and his dam is "Harley" - CH. Nordic's Born To Be Wild (Ryder's sister)
		Welcome Home, "Celebration!" Daughter of our "Blaze" and Alpine Glo's Danya of Windsong. Celebration was born July 29 and is gorgeous. Her sister, "Kiss Me Kate" went home with Gail. At left and below are some photos of her taken just this week, after we picked her up at the SCA National.

		Blaze is a Proud Papa Ch. Hobby Horse Nordic Ghost Ryder, aka "Blaze" has sired puppies out of Alpine Glo's Danya of Windsong - aka "Dani" Three Males and 2 Females were born July 31st Litter bred by Mary Kistner.
		In Loving Memory of Champion Hobby Horse Nordic Starbuck July 17, 1994 – September 18, 2009 In his 15 + years, Starbuck was one of the sweetest dogs we have owned. The last of the Kismet's sons to leave us, he was very special. He sired Tigger, who in turn produced Ryder, whose young son Blaze produced the litter shown above. We wil be welcoming his great great granddaughter in a few short weeks, so, he has definitely left a legacy! We will miss you, dear Starbuck.
		Hobby Horse Nordic Crusader Rest in Peace, dear Indy. July 3, 1994 – December 1, 2009 Indy, sire of Champions Jester and Sparkle. Luckily this photo was taken in late Summer of 09, probably his last photo, and didn't he look terrifc at nearly 15 at the time. Beautifully pigmented, and a sweet, funny dog! Kennel mate of Darcy in their last years together - they were sire and dam of Jester and Sparkle, Gable, Flash.
		In Loving Memory of our very special girl, Ch. Hobby Horse The Pleasure's Mine – "Sparkle." Gone much too soon, we lost our beautiful Sparkle April 22, 2009. Daughter of our BISS Ch. Hobby Horse Foolish Pleasure "Darcy" and Hobby Horse Nordic Crusade – "Indy". And Sparkle she did, from the very beginning. Her littermates included Ch. Hobby Horse's No Foolin' – "Jester", Hobby Horse Photo Finish ' "Flash" and Hobby Horse Charismatic - "Gable." Sparkle, with her dam Darcy, won First Place in the large Brace class at the 2002 National Specialty in Carlilse, PA, under judge Jean Fournier. Sparlke finished quite young with a Best of Breed from the classes. Sadly missed by all her knew her.
		In Loving Memory of Ch. Nordic's Code Talker HH Taken suddenly from us on July 13, 2009, Cody was a very special boy. Brother to Ch. Ryder, Ch. O'Brien, Ch. Harley and son of Ch. Kali and Ch. Tigger. Loved and missed by us all. Special condolences to Gail Mathews.
		New Champion # 54! Hobby Horse Nordic Ghost Ryder Blaze won his last 5 points his first three days out at the Steel Valley Cluster. Way to go, Jeff and Blaze! Blaze won an exciting DOUBLE HEADER at the International Kennel Club of Chicago Show on Feb 23, 2008! From the 9-12 Puppy Dog Class, he was awarded Best in Sweepstakes under judge Tom Krause, Followed by 9-12 First Place, WD, BOW under judge Judy Goodin, for his second 4pt Major! Way to go Blaze and Jeff! Sire: Ch. Hobby Horse Nordic EZ Ryder Dam: Hobby Horse Capr'ice O'Windsong Blaze also was awarded WD and BOW under Jon Cole - earning him his first points - and a four point major. Way to go, Blaze! "Blaze" recently won Reserve Winners Dog at 9 months of age at the Buckeye Samoyed Specialty held in conjunction with the Medina Kennel Club show at the Cleveland Crown Classic. Way to go, Blaze!

		Champion Hobby Horse Foolish Pleaure - Our beloved Darcy, Best in Specialty Show winner and dam of champions – including Ch. Hobby Horse The Pleasure's Mine (Sparkle) Ch. Hobby Horse Bad as I Wanna Be (Boo, owned with Cathy Wheatley) Ch. Hobby Horse's No Foolin' (Jester - owned with Lori Pheil), and other much loved pets and show dogs, left us on July 18, at over 15 years of age. Darcy and her daughter, Sparkle, won a very large Brace Class at the 2002 National Specialty under judge Jean Fournier.A loving member of our family. We miss you, beautiful Darcy.
		NEW CHAMPION # 100 FOR NORDIC SAMOYEDS! CH. Donnereign's The Sun Goddess! Goddess finished with a 3PT Major under Judge Dr. R.S.Prichard. CONGRATULATIONS GAIL AND GODDESS! Blaze puts Gails total to 101!

		NEW CHAMPION #49! CHAMPION HOBBY HORSE SHOW & TELL It's not gossip! "RUMOR" finished on 11-18-06 with his third 4-point major. Judges Irene Bivin (WD, BOW at Sandusky KC), and Lt. Col.
