Black Epic

rule SOLD

Thanks to Tom Burkhart, WindChime Alpacas for purchasing Chaps! Hobby Horse Peruvian High Chaparral has an unbelievable pedigree - Black Epic grandson and Black Mesquite son!

His dam, Hobby Horse Farm Flower Drum Song "Lotus" is a 7X Champion (including AOBA National show) brown female. Black Epic is our 7X Champion - top winning full Peruvian True Black male in the US! His offspring have won at least 57 championships! Black Mesquite is very well known in his own right for producing excellent dark huacayas!

Chaps fleece is just stunning - dense, extreme crimp, soft handle. He is well built and very handsome! His first showing brought rave reviews by black alpaca specialist Peter Kennedy from Australia! Calling him the "clear winner" in his class Mr. Kennedy praised his fineness, density and uniform crimp. This male can be a farm maker! Come and get him!

Skin biopsy at 32 months by Dr. Evans – showed 61.5 follicles/sq mm and a 13.3:1 SP ratio (50% higher than average!). He has high levels of sebaceous glands – which equates to a bright and soft fleece. 20 micron secondary fibers and 27.9 micron primaries, coupled with the high density give this boy a fine and uniform fleece.

We recommend breeding Chaps to improve fleece uniformity – of micron, color and crimp!
