New Champion Hobby Horse Nordic Mokosh!
We have a new Champion to celebrate! (Pending AKC confirmation). Ch Hobby Horse Nordic Mokosh, bred by Shauna Brummet, Jeff Skinner, Gail Mathews and Brigid Brandt and owned by BJ & Anisa Nelson. Moko finished in grand style taking his majors at the SAMI Specialty in Madison, WI in February under Douglas Johnson and finishing with a 3pt WD and then BOW for 4 pt under judge Nancy Russell at the Kettle Moraine GMSF Specialty. Moko is our 58th Champion (at least) and well over 100 for Gail Mathews (Nordic). Moko is his dam - CGH Ch Hobby Horse Nordic So Alluring’s 7th Champion from her 14 puppies (litters of 1, 6, 7).

Woo hoo! Zazzy earned Select Bitch and 4 Gr.Ch. points and BOB OH in Specialty under judge Terry Berrios. Zazzy is Allure's 3rd Grand Champion. Zazzy is co-owned and co-bred with Shauna, Jeff, Gail Mathews (Nordic) and Brigid Brandt.

Owned by Frank Smith, MD and Susan Kheder, Koda finished his championship with 3 majors at just over 2 years of age in extremely limited showing! Bred by Shauna Brummet and Jeff Skinner (Hobby Horse), Gail Mathews (Nordic) and Brigid Brandt. He is sired by GCHB CH Cirque D'Samz Tanks 4 The Memories and out of our very own GCH CH Hobby Horse So Alluring. Handsome and sweet, we are super proud of Koda! His 3 majors pictured here.

Zazzy wins Group 2 OH under judge James Moses at the Wisconsin Kennel Club. Our weekend in Wisconsin was hectic but oh so fun. Good friends, good dogs, and these lovely wins! Breed judge was Manuel Queijeiro.
Here we are with our BOS winner Zazzy and her Loot! Shauna, Jeff and Brigid proud owners. The weekend yielded a BISS under Douglas Johnson, a Specialty BOS, an All-breed BOS, 3 Select Bitch, 3 Specialty BOBOH, 2 All-breed BOBOH, (5 total BOBOH) and OH Group 2 under James Moses. And, 25 points towards her GCH Bronze. Plus a major for Moko. We were a tired but happy bunch!

BEST IN SHOW OWNER-HANDLED!
Zazzy's first time out as a special was special indeed! She was named Best of Breed at the Lake Eustis Kennel Club in January 2023 in Florida over several gorgeous specials including her half-brother Rocketman and her Uncle Puttin!
The icing on the cake was winning BOB OH and on to BIS OH!
Thanks to respected judge Charles Olvis for this highest of OH honors.
She garnered her first points toward her Grand Championship and over the weekend Rocketman finished his Grand Championship! Puttin won many points during his stay in Florida toward his Gold Grand!
NEW CHAMPION ZAZZY!
Yay! Zazzy is now NEW AKC Champion Hobby Horse Nordic So Much Pizzaz. She finished going Best of Winners at Butler County in September. She was also Best of Breed Owner-Handled. We are so proud of this little girl. PUPPY CHAMP!! She finished just days short of her first birthday. Lee Whittier was the judge, but unavailable for the photo. Jeff stood in!
This was a Specialty Show for Great Pittsburgh Samoyed Fanciers.
She will continue to mature and will be back to get her Grand!!

Hobby Horse Nordic So Much Pizazz (finished!) & Hobby Horse Nordic Jasmine (major pointed)
Sisters from our latest litter (Allure x Sherman) Zazzy and Jasmine hit the ground running this spring and haven't looked back. Zazzy (far left) needs just a major to finish. Shown winning her first major at the Steel City show under judge Ken Murray, with Jasmine taking reserve. They have repeated at nearly all their shows, including WB for Jasmine in Columbus and a BOB for Zazzy at Ravenna KC! Zazzy now has 12 points and Jasmine has 11, both looking for that elusive 2nd major!! Jasmine, far left and middle on bottom row is shown winning her own 3 point major and a 4th in the Puppy Group! Puttin received his International Championship along with a Best in Show Bred-by-Exhibitor in August of '21.

DeLorean represents a legacy of the Hobby Horse/Nordic bloodline. Son of our GRCH CH Hobby Horse Nordic So Alluring "Allure", his sire is an outstanding male from our very first litter, Ch Hobby Horse Nordic Mischief. (DOB 1988 - Ch Nordic Magic Hobby Horse x Ch Nordic's Kismet O'Cynosura) We cherish this blast from the past and he finished in April 2022 under Ken Murray.
GCH CH Hobby Horse Nordic Curtain Call - "Bravo"
Bravo is a littermate to Moxie and Rocketman and son of our GCH CH Hobby Horse Nordic So Alluring and GCHG CH White Eagle's the Sky's the Limit for Alpine Glo (Multiple BIS, BISS). He is owned and handled by Lori Pheil and shown winning Owner-Handled Group First, Best of Breed and in the Working Group and a few favorite photos. He has multiple Best of Breed wins and is working on his bronze Grand championship.He has also garnered multiple owner-handled group placements. We are proud of this lovely, typey boy!

With Jeff is new CH Hobby Horse Nordic Rocketman, who finished the previous weekend under Anne Marie Taylor at Medina KC with his 4th major. (5, 4, 4, 4). He was Select Dog at Lake Shore earning his first points toward his grand. Far right is GChB Ch. Nordic Hobby Horse Puttin' on Airs who finished his bronze grand championship with Brigid Brandt, who, with Gail Mathews of Nordic Samoyeds, is co-breeder of Moxie, Bravo and Rocketman. What a great day!
